Fundraising for Your EventHow to Raise Money for Your TMM Event

These are tough times economically, and we are fully aware of the financial burden tuition can be on home-school families. This is why we have come up with a fundraising option to help you reduce event costs by 50%* for both students and parent-coaches. This option can be applied to any of our Training Minds Ministry Events (NITC, Conference, Camp and Internship).

*NITC participants are able to raise 100% of their tuition with tax-deductible donations.

This plan is similar to fundraising for Bible camps or mission trips. Simply follow these steps to raise the funds needed for your Debate Camp experience:

  1. Download the sample letter of appeal: Word (doc)
  2. Custom the letter to your specific debate camp and the people you will be asking
  3. Mail the letter to those whom you feel would support you in your event tuition

Training Minds Ministry will receive the donations at its main office, credit the amount to your tuition, and refund any outstanding amount directly to you. You will be reimbursed at the event for any donations that come in before the start of the event. IMPORTANT: You must register in full to reserve your spot at your TMM Event, and all donations need to be applied within two weeks of the event.

Training Minds Ministry is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit ministry registered with the I.R.S., so donors are able to sponsor your experience and enjoy a tax-deduction. Possible sponsors include grandparents, church members, extended family and community leaders. Some have made successful appeals to community organizations that enjoy donating to educational functions.

Over the last three years, Training Minds Ministry has awarded over $30,000 to individual student tuition. There is no reason to let the financial cost get in the way of the best experience for your debate year. This is a great opportunity to raise the necessary funds for your event experience as well as let loved ones know of the great mandate of training the mind for action.
